The Lohit Youth Library Network runs reading promotion activities across Lohit, Anjaw, Namsai & Dibang regions established in May 2007 with support from the Association of Writers & Illustrators for Children, Vivekananda Trust, Mysore and the Lohit District Administration—starting with the Bamboosa Library in Tezu. Over time, the network has expanded to 13 youth libraries across Lohit, Anjaw, Namsai, and Lower Dibang Valley, spreading the joy of reading and fostering community engagement through storytelling, book exhibitions, and learning events—all organized by local volunteers.
Today, the network runs libraries across Lohit, Anjaw, Namsai, Dibang, and beyond, engaging thousands of young readers, teachers, and volunteers. Our mission is simple yet powerful — to nurture a culture of reading and learning that inspires critical thinking, creativity, and community spirit.
